📏 How to Measure for Your Custom Drawer Insert
1. Measure the Inside of Your Drawer
Measure the inside width (left to right)
Measure the inside depth (front to back)
Measure from inner wall to inner wall, not the outside of the drawer
Use a tape measure or calipers for best accuracy
2. Measure in Multiple Locations (Very Important)
Drawers are rarely perfectly square. To avoid fitment issues:
Measure width in 3 places (front, middle, back)
Measure depth in 3 places (left, center, right)
Provide the smallest measurement for each direction
💡 This ensures your insert will fit even if your drawer tapers slightly.
3. Provide Exact Measurements
Please submit your measurements exactly as taken.
👉 Do NOT subtract anything for clearance — we will handle that for you.
We manufacture all inserts 3/16" (4.7625 mm) smaller than the measurements you provide.
This includes a guaranteed tolerance of ±1/16" (1.5875 mm) to ensure a proper fit.
4. Important Fit Responsibility Notice
As long as your insert is manufactured within the specifications above:
Any discrepancies caused by incorrect measurements will be the customer's responsibility
We can only build based on the dimensions provided
💡 Tip: Measure twice… drawers love to pretend they're square when they're not.
5. Choosing the Right Height
Our standard insert height is 2" (50.8 mm)
This height fits most drawers without issue
If you would like a full-height insert or a custom height, measure the height from the inside bottom of the drawer to the top edge of the drawer
If you request a taller insert:
Your drawer must be removable
Installation may require removing the drawer to fit the insert properly
